EQUINOX!!

Here’s a picture of the Adia Nutrition Revolution team at Equinox Gym in Newport Beach giving people the gift of health!!
In the picture is April, sporting her newer, darker locks, and the newest member of the team, Amy. Hi Amy!
We had a terrific tasting at Equinox. We passed out a couple of gallons of probiotic drink mix, as well as the chews, and we were able to have a significant number of discussions with people about the power of probiotics. We love the people at Equinox, and if you’re looking for a new gym, we highly recommend Equinox. The people in the Newport Beach gym are fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and very supportive.
We also love Renaissance Sports Clubs, because that’s where our fitness model trains (Hi Gina!!). If you’re looking for a trainer, find Gina. She’ll kill you, but she’s so nice you’ll feel bad for HER as you lay twitching on the ground unable to move. I know I do.
We have a busy week beginning on Monday. We’re going to be at the Palisades Tennis Club from Monday through Sunday for the 84th Pacific Southwest Championships, we have a special announcement on Monday, and we are working at hitting an Equinox up in Los Angeles later next week. Stay tuned to the blog and twitter for more information.
We have a new version of the Adia Sport and the Unsweetened Chinese Green Tea in the office this morning. We are hoping to finalize the flavors and get them launched as soon as possible. It’s been delayed because someone (me) was out of the office yesterday. We planning to finalize all this next week. We are also meeting with various computer people about improving the shopping cart on the website.
The discussions have been interesting so far. We’ve met a couple of designers and it’s always great to get other people’s impressions of our product. Sometimes we get too close, and it’s nice to have an outside view.
On to the bacterial news.
This blog has only one hard and fast rule. We publish all stories about flesh-eating bacteria. All of them. I am obsessed with flesh-eating bacteria. Because, well, it’s bacteria that eats flesh.
It just seems so crazy. It’s like the suspense part of a horror movie. The hero touches the doorknob, and the flesh-eating bacteria consumes him. Delicious.

It turns out that antibiotic creams that contain bacitracin and neomycin may be contributing to the spread of a strain of MRSA (MRSA is a type of infection that is not healed with antibiotics) called USA300. The USA300 is resistant to both those antibiotics. Guess where the USA300 is found.
In the USA.
There seems to be a healthy disagreement over whether or not the antibiotic creams causes this strain to be resistant to the USA300, but the cause discussion is somewhat moot. The flesh-eating bacteria is out there.
Overall, it’s not a great article. But it’s flesh-eating bacteria.
